The Moles’ Scholarship for Aptitude in Heavy Construction
The Moles is a highly prestigious east coast based heavy construction association including contractors and engineers engaged in the construction of tunnel, subway, sewer, foundation, marine, sub-aqueous or other heavy construction projects. It was founded by the tunneling community (a tunnel boring machine is often referred to as a “mole”). The single philanthropic purpose of the Moles is to encourage students to pursue careers in Heavy Construction. The Moles host a very highly regarded Moles Students’ Day every year for hundreds of students and provide significant scholarships to academically qualified and deserving Civil Engineering Juniors at 20 participating schools. Receipt of the Moles scholarship provides immediate recognition in the industry.
